Burlington School Rankings: Burlington’s Best Schools
The public school rankings in Burlington are not as strong as they are in its neighbouring town Oakville, but there are some Burlington districts that concerned young families can definitely consider. I have done much research in the area of Burlington schools in order to give the most value possible for my young-family clients wishing to move there. The LATEST school rankings are available to my clients starting each November, and then are released to the general public in June (usually).
As an experienced Realtor and the GTA’s most prominent school advisor, I can find you a house that you want in any of the great school districts in Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington, Milton, Brampton, Etobicoke and (coming soon) Vaughan, Richmond Hill or Markham. I know the great school districts in all of these areas (having done the school rankings myself) and know much about schooling itself. You can see my full Burlington school rankings starting HERE.
There are currently 27 public elementary schools in Burlington, and I have ranked them all – by following the link above, you will find out the Best Public Schools in Burlington and the Best Catholic School in Burlington, and if you do just a little digging, the rankings for the French Immersion schools, as well. My rankings are based on consistency over the last 7 years (6 years this year) of EQAO test scores PLUS the demographics of each school district in Burlington. This is different from the Fraser Institute rankings, which default to only a single year, and consider much less demographics, which in my opinion can certainly influence school rankings. After digesting these rankings, perhaps you might be surprised of how many of these schools on the full list that I actually recommend to the concerned parents that make up the majority of my clients.
On my website, I have full rankings for Burlington, and also school rankings for Oakville, Milton, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill elsewhere on the site.
What Does This Mean for YOU?
If you’re looking for a great school district for your family, it is essential that you have a real estate agent (with a team) who knows schools to help you out. Real estate agents for buyers are free of charge. Promise you’ll buy with me and I’ll advise you not only on schools, but on everything else you need to know! And there are a TONNE of things you need to consider…
- How far do you want to be from work? Do you need to be close to highways? To a GO station?
- Do you need to have a community center nearby?
- Is a townhouse right for you? Do you know the difference between condominium and freehold?
- Is the age of a home important to you?
- The reputation real estate agents have is not favourable. It is more than often deserved, however. I have seen it first-hand and it is disgusting. Do you know if your agent is knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy?
- When you find a home, does the furnace need replacing? Roof? Windows? Attic insulation? Is there mold?
- Where do the airplanes fly? Will they fly over your home? Does this matter to you?
- Is French Immersion an option for your family?
The trick for every home-seeker is to be armed with as much knowledge as possible so that you can make an informed decision in finding the best possible home in the best possible school district for your family.
