About Susi

I am a Sales Representative for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, working out of the Signature Service brokerage near Square One in Mississauga. I have been with the brokerage for four years now; in 2011 I received the prestigious BHGRE "Platinum" award and was the Top Realtor in a brokerage of 70 sales representatives and brokers.

I believe that I have built my success on the two tenets of entrepreneurship: hard work and knowledge. I am well aware of the suspect reputation Realtors have among the general public... the comments range from "slimeball" to "do nothing" to "liars" to "angels".... Okay, maybe not "angels". The point is, Realtors can have a tough go of it, character-wise. Read More »

St Theresa of Avila Catholic school ranking

The St. Teresa of Avila school ranking is not in the Top 40, and is therefore not published. St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School lies in the neighbourhood of Meadowvale, an established community in the northwestern part of Mississauga.

St. Teresa of Avila doesn’t have the easiest time teaching their children (according to the Teacher Difficulty Index). This district has the second-worst rate of Student Language Barriers, and their Home Situation is in the bottom five as well. Yet this school does nothing to rise above these challenges, seemingly. So as a Realtor and an experienced School District Advisor, this is a Catholic school district that I generally tell my clients I have reservations about.

Take a look at their 7-year EQAO performance chart below (actually 8-year):

EQAO Performance Chart

St. Teresa of Avila EQAO

You’ll notice that they have posted mostly consistently poor EQAO pass-rates over the past seven years, with glimmers of respectability here and there, but certainly not enough for a Realtor to reccommend to their clients. This is important information to know if you are moving your children into the St. Teresa of Avila school district. But you should know that there are better odds for your children elsewhere in Mississauga.

The St. Teresa of Avila Catholic school district is probably not a potential district for your family to live in. And you must consider many other factors, like neighbourhood demographics, drive-time to work, and actual house concerns too! Perhaps you should take a look at School District Smartsearch to get you started.

You should also have a look at my Homes For Sale in Great School Districts page. There are many MORE homes in recommended school districts that I can find, but each one of these homes IS in a school district that I recommend to my clients.

The components of the Teacher Difficulty Index were gathered through casual discussions with working education professionals, and both the TDI and the SUSI Rankings should be considered as simply an informed and reasonable opinion of the team at SusiHomes.com. If this page was useful in any way to you, please give it g+1 or a Like! I will never contact you through this method (hey - I don't even know how!), but if this page was useful to you, I'd love the shout-out! Thanks, Susi
