About Susi

I am a Sales Representative for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, working out of the Signature Service brokerage near Square One in Mississauga. I have been with the brokerage for four years now; in 2011 I received the prestigious BHGRE "Platinum" award and was the Top Realtor in a brokerage of 70 sales representatives and brokers.

I believe that I have built my success on the two tenets of entrepreneurship: hard work and knowledge. I am well aware of the suspect reputation Realtors have among the general public... the comments range from "slimeball" to "do nothing" to "liars" to "angels".... Okay, maybe not "angels". The point is, Realtors can have a tough go of it, character-wise. Read More »

Huntington Ridge Public School Rankings Mississauga

EXPLANATION of ABOVE TERMS and SCORES

The Huntington Ridge school ranking has dropped twelve spots over the last year – this is a possible red flag. Their 7-year EQAO rank is decent as they have performed 7.5% better than average over other public schools in Peel Region.

However, according to the Teacher Difficulty Index, the Huntington Ridge school district lies in an area that’s in the middle-of-the-pack as far as teacher-ease in concerned, and right now they are performing almost exactly as expected. The only concern is that the Catholic school in the area has the exact-same district boundaries, and they are doing much better than expected.

So as a Realtor and an experienced School District Advisor, I would tell my clients that if you move into this district and have the choice, choose the Catholic option.

Take a look at their 7-year EQAO performance chart below:

HOW TO READ THIS CHART and HOW THESE FIGURES WERE OBTAINED

You’ll notice that they were consistent over the years, until last year, when they dropped slightly. This is only a concern if it is repeated. All of this is important to know if you are moving your children into the Huntington Ridge school district.

The Huntington Ridge ranking is probably not good enough (if you’re checking out this site) for you to move your family into. And there are many other factors to consider, like drive-time factors, neighbourhood demographics, and actual house concerns too! Perhaps you should take a look at School District Smartsearch to get you started.

You should also have a look at my Homes For Sale in Great School Districts page. There are many MORE homes in recommended school districts that I can find, but each one of these homes IS in a school district that I recommend to my clients.

MESSAGE TO PARENTS:
The components of the Teacher Difficulty Index were gathered through casual discussions with working education professionals, and both the TDI and the SUSI Rankings should be considered as simply an informed and reasonable opinion of the team at SusiHomes.com. If this page was useful in any way to you, please give it g+1 or a Like! I will never contact you through this method (hey - I don't even know how!), but if this page was useful to you, I'd love the shout-out! Thanks, Susi
