Erindale
The neighbourhood of Erindale is a tale of north and south. In the north lies the sub-neighbourhood of the Credit Woodlands (or ‘Erindale Woodlands’), a sprawling 1950’s development chock full of nuclear families, and it may be starting to look its age. In the south lies the sub-neighbourhood of Creditview (not to be confused with the neighbourhood of Creditview, beside Square One – I know, I know – I didn’t name them!). The south part of Erindale is upper-middle class, for sure, with the sub-Queensway part (“Gordon Woods”) definitely being part of the upper (no ‘-middle’) crust.
The number of households in Erindale is 7,100, and a decent amount (24%) are renters. The average household income in Erindale is 88K.
The nearest GO stations to Erindale are the Cooksville GO (30-33 minutes to Union), and the Erindale GO (35-38 minutes to Union).
Creditview
Creditview is a small neighbourhood in central Mississauga, with Square One parked right beside it. I am unsure why they call this ‘Creditview’, however, as there really isn’t any view of the Credit River to be had. It should be called ‘Deer Run’, officially, I think! (Okay, there really aren’t any deer running through this neighbourhood anymore, either, but I digress.) The number of households in Creditview is 3,400 and a small amount (12%) are renters. The average household income in Creditview is 101K.
The nearest GO station to Creditview is the Erindale GO, and the travel-time to Union Station is currently anywhere from 35 to 38 minutes, depending on the time of day.
Fairview
Fairview is a tiny neighbourhood in the dead center of Mississauga, with the big busy mega-mall called Square One right across from it. The number of households in Fairview is 6,200 and a large amount (33%) are renters. The average household income in Fairview is 73K.
The nearest GO station to Fairview is the Cooksville GO, and the travel-time to Union Station is currently anywhere from 30 to 33 minutes, depending on the time of day.
