The 2023 St. Joseph school ranking represents an opinion of ours based upon hundreds of hours of research with the end-goal of determining where, exactly, the “best” schools in the the Hamilton area area ARE for young families.

Almost every other Ontario real estate website uses the “Fraser Institute rankings”, but these rankings can pose many problems for young families. Our rankings are far more integrated with the consistency and the “teacher support” a school receives – both HUGE factors – as well as EQAO Performance.

St. Joseph EQAO Performance & Consistency (2023)

The EQAO performance for St. Joseph is recorded each possible year (that is, when EQAO testing hasn’t been cancelled due to COVID or work action) at SusiHomes and turned into the figures in the graphic you see here. These become the EQAO calculations used to determine our final annual rankings. A “consistency factor” is then assigned to St. Joseph based on how dependable the school has been over the last seven EQAO years, and then all numbers are mixed with Teacher Support (below) calculations before producing a final ranking.
