Are the Best Schools in Hamilton really “the best”?
What makes the best schools in Hamilton “the best”? Since nobody can attend all the schools simultaneously, nobody knows, for sure, what elementary schools are “the best schools in Hamilton”. However, there are a number of factors (including the SusiHomes school ranking) that can help give us an idea of what schools are more likely to be better than the others. Hence, the BLUE CAP schools, and the

FAQ

YES. The Fraser Institute does not incorporate the consistency of a school’s performance into its rankings; they are sorted by a single-year’s performance only. They also do not take into consideration the natural support some teachers receive simply by working in higher-income neighbourhoods with less single-parent families. The SusiHomes CAP rankings does all of this, so yes, in our informed opinions, the CAP Rankings are more reliable.
Look, the Fraser Institute rankings are fine. We use them, ourselves, in cities outside our service areas. We use the same EQAO data as they do, but we factor in a school district’s demographics more prominently, and consistency needs to be considered in any ranking model to begin with. The SusiHomes CAP rankings can easily be seen as more reliable. And yes, we are looking to attract clients, but only the wise ones who realize this.
They are both recommended schools. We’re just a little more sure that the Blue Cap schools are “good” schools. But we have good feelings about Green Cap schools, as well. Blue Cap schools are the “Primary Recommendations” Susi gives to her clients, and Green Cap schools are the “Alternate Recommendations”.
Here, that is not possible. Your Realtor can set it up for you. It’s a lot of work, but your Realtor should work hard for you. Susi’s clients, of course, receive this service in full.
Yes. Your Realtor can do this for you, for any Cap Schools revealed here. It’s a bit of a process, however, and they may curse you for asking. Susi has the systems already set up for ALL Cap Schools.
Most, if not all, of the Blue Cap or Green Cap schools are in neighbourhoods that Susi would recommend to her clients .
Any good Realtor will see these warning signs, like water damage or poor foundation. You should also get a home inspection done on the house before finalizing the deal; buying a home without one is a dangerous game.
If you need School-District-Specific Demographics, for an in-depth review of the democratic makeup of the school district alone, SusiHomes’ clients have full access to those. Otherwise, Realtor.ca is your best free source. They have neighbourhood demographics in a broader sense.
